BALLET “DIAGHILEV. SEASONS” (November, 08, Tovstonogov Bolshoi Theater, St. Petersburg)

In “Diaghilev. Seasons” the authors tried to convey the creative spirit of the Diaghilev entreprise. The plot reveals to the audience the secrets and intricacies of the theatrical backstage. However, the performance still remains a fantasy and not an illustration of historical facts. The music in the performance also avoids direct allusions: the ballet uses works by Antonio Vivaldi and Frederic Chopin.
